North Vancouver is a suburb of Vancouver, Canada located to the north side of the Burrard Inlet in British Columbia.

North Vancouver is mountains and rivers of the North Shore Mountains, including, predominantly, Grouse Mountain and Mount Seymour. These slopes cause North Vancouver to be very well-known for its hiking, skiing, and most famously, mountain biking, with its trails featuring in most mountain biking videos. The Baden-Powell trail, the most well-known hiking trail in North (and West) Vancouver runs from Horseshoe Bay to Quarry Rock, overlooking Deep Cove. This trail is host, every year, to the Knee-Knacker, which is a half day long run along the trail's entire length, 30 miles. The race is so named for the cuts and bruises covering the runners knees when they cross the finish line. North Vancouver is also home to the renowned Grouse Grind hiking trail, a.k.a. "God's Stairmaster."

North Vancouver extends roughly from the Capilano River on the west to Indian Arm on the east. The Capilano River is home to the Capilano Suspension Bridge, one of the biggest tourist attractions in North Vancouver. Indian Arm, an offshoot of the Burrard Inlet, is well known for its Sea Kayaking, and is home to Deep Cove, another large tourist attraction in North Vancouver. Other prominent tourist attractions in North Vancouver include: the shopping districts Edgemont Village, Lonsdale Quay, and the Lynn Canyon Park.

Although the City and District are seperate municipalities, they share services such as the North Vancouver School District and the North Vancouver Recreation Commission
