Geography
Geographically it covers the hills south-east of the Sauerland hills, the Siegerland. The lion in the right is the sign of the dukes of Nassau, who founded Siegen. In the bottom a miner's lamp and a "Knipp" used for cutting branches to make charcoal are depicted, to remember the mining and "Hauberg" history in the district.
