Biography 25 year old growing actor, Matt Long was born in Lexington, Kentucky and raised in Winchester, Kentucky. Finding a solid interest in the acting business at a very young age, Matt Long pursued the seeds of his dreams by performing in his elementary school plays. Matt continued to foster his love of acting at Western Kentucky University where, after graduating, moved to New York to continue his acting career. As Matt began performing at acclaimed Williamstown Theatre Fest, his current manager discovered his sensational acting abilities and immediately booked his first commercial. Not long after, the critically acclaimed new WB drama series found Matt Long to play the leading role of older brother Jack McCallister. Matthew Long now experiences enjoyable hikes and outdoor activities in Los Angeles where he films his new tv series. Matt remarks, "There was a time I thought about being a professional guide. I'm a big outdoorsman, but the acting thing has always been there - always something I wanted to do". It certainly is something he is pursuing very well. Matt Long works with co-stars Christine Lahti, Logan Lerman, Jessica Paré, Edwin Hodge, and John Slattery. Matt Long who plays Jack McCallister takes on the role of the popular, athletic girl-magnet high school stud who must face the annoying attachment of his younger brother Bobby McCallister (played by "The Butterfly Effect"'s actor Logan Lerman). As the series develops, fans have yet to see the full acting career of Matthew Long. "People are more laid back and live life a little slower in Winchester.
