Single mother Jean (Locklear) moves every time she gets her heart broken by another guy, much to the dismay of her teenager daughter, Holly (Duff). Holly devises a plan, to get a secret admirer interested in her mother so she'll finally stop moving. The online relationship takes off, but Holly has to scramble to find a guy for her mother. She sets her mother up with her Amy's Uncle while trying to make her leave again, missing out on love. But that was not what her mother wanted. She wanted a very different man.
