The Reception is an Christian indie rock band from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Their debut album Does It Keep You Awake? was recorded, mixed, and mastered by local Winnipeg producer John Paul Peters (Comeback Kid, Figure Four, Every New Day) and was released independently on July 27, 2005. Two members of the band (Jon Rash and John Peters) are alumni of now-defunt Winnipeg ska band Bailey's Car (Andrew Hedlin was a perspective member of Bailey's Car, but decided against joining after one or two shows).
