The Wild Thornberrys Movie . It was subsequently nominated for an Academy Award for Best Song for "Father and Daughter" by Paul Simon (but not for Best Animated Feature, in spite of generally favorable reviews).

In the movie, Eliza is sent off to Madame Beatrice's, a British boarding school, by her grandmother Cordelia, who is appalled by the idea of her grandchild being raised in the jungle (but not as much as Deborah, who is still forced to live with her parents anyway, despite her constant desire to leave). Other subplots in the movie include:

the kidnapping of a cheetah cub and Eliza's persistent efforts to rescue it, which results in the abovean attempt to kill elephants with an electric fence, which is somehow linked not only to a solar eclipse, but also to the cheetah-napping, andEliza's loss of powers, which forms a significant portion of the latter segments of the elephant storyline, and is what the film's tagline, "You don't need extraordinary powers to do extraordinary things", refers to.

It opened in the US box office on December 21, 2002, finished #6 for the weekend, and grossed only a modest $40 million domestically, again in spite of generally favorable reviews.
